Putting on a theater production is hard work, but high schools throughout New Mexico do just that to give students the opportunity to receive an education in performing arts. The New Mexico High School Musical Theatre Awards step to recognize the schools, teachers, and students involved year after year.
“We recognize individual artistry in performance, honor teachers and schools’ commitment to theatre education, and celebrate accomplishments of drama students and teachers from all over the State of New Mexico. While we are an awards show once a year, we are an education program every day.”
