As of August 18, Ukrainian agrarians harvested the first 200 tonnes of new crop corn throughout the areas of 100 ha. The average yield totaled 4 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
It is noted that the forecast of corn harvested areas totals 4.5 mln ha.
Also, agrarians continued harvesting other grains and pulses: the production reached 37.1 mln tonnes throughout 9.6 mln ha (66% of the plan), with the yield at 3.85 t/ha.
According to the announcement, agrarians harvested the following crops: 26.5 mln tonnes of wheat (100%) with the average yield at 4.17 t/ha; 8.6 mln tonnes of barley (100%) with the average yield at 3.43 t/ha; 453 thsd tonnes of rye (97%) with the yield at 2.81 t/ha; 453 thsd tonnes of oats (91%) with the yield at 2.52 t/ha; 1.1 mln tonnes of peas (100%) with the yield at 2.67 t/ha, etc.
