US egg imports permit would make Lithuania 3rd sanctioned country worldwide

Print versionLithuania may become the third country worldwide after Canada and the Netherlands to be granted a permit to export egg products to the United States, Lietuvos Rytas daily said on December 15th, cites LETA/BNS.

Vygantas Katkevicius, director of the Lithuanian Agriculture Ministry's Economy Department, told the daily that negotiations on beef exports were currently being finalized with Chinese institutions.
Over the first nine months of 2017, exports of Lithuanian agriculture products and food products went up by 8.2% year-on-year. Most of the exports go to Latvia, Russia, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands and Belarus.
