Suspect in Orlando shopping plaza murder arrested in Puerto Rico
The suspect in a fatal shooting in Orlando was apprehended on Friday after fleeing to Puerto Rico, Orlando police say.Gabriel Joel Bruno De Leon was arrested in Puerto Rico for the murder of Luis G. Vicente-Martinez. According to OPD, the shooting took place behind a McDonald's on Curry Ford Road on March 15. Vicente-Martinez was found dead inside a van when police arrived on the scene. OPD detectives determined through investigative efforts that the incident was a robbery and the suspect who murdered Martinez had fled to Puerto Rico.De Leon has been charged with first-degree murder with a firearm, robbery with a firearm, and grand theft in the second degree. No other suspects are outstanding.
