There are always two sides to the coin when it comes to aging: it’s either “life begins at forty”—or whichever number sounds right in your head—or “it all goes downhill after forty.” The ambassador of Ultherapy Philippines chooses to embrace the positive aspects of aging, giving due credit to the wisdom and grace that come with growing older.

@iamhearte “Beauty comes with age,” Heart Evangelista shared in an interview. “It has everything to do with character: how you walk, how you talk, how you carry yourself, how you handle your mistakes and your flaws. One of the biggest life lessons that comes with this level of experience is learning to accept that you’re not always going to be the best or the most beautiful.”

She knows the joys and perils of being an open book, having lived and worked under the spotlight for most of her life. Heart doesn’t shy away from sharing what procedures she’d had done, either: botox, lip fillers, jawline slimming treatments, and, of course, Ultherapy.

The biggest perk of this ambassadorship? She gets to try everything out for free.

Ultherapy Prime is the latest breakthrough in skin lifting and tightening, and is the only FDA-cleared non-invasive device that uses micro-focused ultrasound energy and real-time imaging to personalize one’s treatment. A touchscreen that is 35% larger than that of its predecessor delivers vivd imagery from any angle and other enhanced capabilities allow for faster treatment time. The makers have proudly stated that it is a machine and a technology built for the future.

Heart has been doing Ultherapy treatments for years now and continues to do it every six months. She has only tried Prime once as of this publishing, and is amazed by how much has improved. The sting is still there—although the comfort level of the patients have significantly increased—but the results show up much faster and last longer.

She does, however, understand why others are mum about the treatments they get done. Everything goes up on social media, and pointing fingers are ever-present online. “I’m forty. If I do get something done, I will let you know. It’s also a way of pointing people in the right direction as to where to go if they’re interested in getting anything done. Share the blessings, right?”

Being in her prime also means that she no longer feels the need to conform to other people’s standards. Instead, she puts in the work to adhere to the standards she has set for herself. “You have to make certain sacrifices if you want to improve your life. If you have to do twenty things a day and looking good while doing those things makes you feel better, then go for it.”

At the end of the day, Heart prefers to keep things simple: moisturize, avoid the sun, drink lots of water, and make it a habit to pray.
