Charities, schools and youth groups promoting the aspirations and progression of young people in Rushmoor area can now apply for funding grants of up to £2,000

The Youth Aspiration Fund offers an opportunity for young people to be inspired. Schools, charities and voluntary groups have great ideas for young people but often lack resources to make them happen.”
— Paul Marcus, MD Eagle Radio & Chair of CMPP

FARNBOROUGH, HAMPSHIRE, UK, October 1, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Between Monday, October 1, 2018 and Friday November 16, 2018, the Community Matters Partnership Project (CMPP), the business collaboration supporting the needs of its community, is inviting charities, educational establishments and youth groups dedicated to promoting the aspirations and progression of young people in the Rushmoor area, to apply for funding grants of up to £2,000 to support their development. Alongside CMPP grant funding, applicants are also encouraged to request employee-volunteers from local businesses to provide additional human resources, expertise and skills to support their initiatives.

The Youth Aspirations Fund (YAF) was created in 2015 by the CMPP to support local young people in the community. During the year, partner companies, employee volunteers, local students and other community supporters within the pioneering CMPP network, have participated in a variety of fundraising events including the Farnborough Airport Twilight Runway Challenge, the NUTS Challenge, Dress Down Days, Cake Sales and Christmas Markets, raising more than £26,000 for the YAF.

Speaking on behalf of the project, Jenna Grant, Operations Manager and Project Coordinator, said: “We have had such a fun year raising money for the Youth Aspirations Fund. We cannot thank our generous partners enough for their dedication and commitment to CMPP and the local community. It is truly inspiring to see so many different companies coming together to raise money for a common goal and I am extremely proud of what we can achieve by working together.”

Paul Marcus, Chairman of CMPP and Managing Director of Eagle Radio said: “The Youth Aspiration Fund offers a great opportunity for young people to be inspired. Lots of schools, colleges, charities and voluntary groups have great ideas for raising aspirations in young people but often lack the funds and expertise to make it happen. The Youth Aspirations Fund can get those ideas going”
